تجربة رياضي مع إصلاح الفتق الإربي بالمنظار | Patient Story: An Athlete's Recovery After Laparoscopic TAPP Inguinal Hernia Repair
تجربة أستاذ عمرو | Mr. Amr's Experience
| Mr. Amr Abdel Hady, who plays football and trains at the gym, thought the pain in his lower abdomen was a muscle strain until a sports-injury doctor suspected an inguinal hernia, confirmed on ultrasound. Learning that delay can lead to complications, he looked for a consultant specializing in laparoscopic surgery who uses reliable mesh, and within a week had laparoscopic TAPP repair with a 3D mesh by Dr. Mohamed H. Zidan. He has had no complications, and the healed laparoscopic scars are barely visible.

Peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you. I'm Amr Abdel Hady, and I had an inguinal hernia. It started when I felt pain in my lower abdominal muscle. Naturally, I thought it was a muscle strain, because I play football and do fitness training. A month went by, it kept going, and I didn't know what it was. So I went to a sports-injury doctor, who said: I suspect you have an inguinal hernia, so we need an ultrasound. I had the ultrasound, and it confirmed I had an inguinal hernia. Of course I did some research and learned that it's an urgent matter and very important to treat quickly without delay, because I found out that some people delay it and get many complications, which is a mistake. I advise anyone with this problem to go straight to a skilled, good surgeon who specializes in laparoscopy, forget about open surgery altogether, and make sure he is at least a consultant with enough knowledge of the meshes he uses. I also advise people not to go for the cheapest option in these operations, and to have a good, clean mesh placed. There are many companies, such as Bard, a respected American company. Don't cut corners by having a local mesh placed, because local mesh shrinks over time and causes adhesions, which isn't good. I think the mesh should be imported, American and fully trusted; that's what we should use. I looked into all of this and found Dr. Mohamed Hossam Zidan, one of the best-known doctors in laparoscopy and in using reliable meshes; he deals with reputable companies that supply them, dealing with Bard directly. I went to his clinic, he reassured me and told me it was very simple. Frankly, the cost was also reasonable, not high; I asked in Cairo and elsewhere and found it very expensive, while Dr. Mohamed does it at a reasonable cost and does the best work. Within less than a week we did the operation, and thank God I'm much better, with no complications at all. Even the laparoscopy scars are very small and barely visible once they've healed, thank God. So I thank Dr. Mohamed Hossam Zidan very much for his dedication, hard work and skill, and I say to him: thank you very much, Dr. Mohamed.
